Well... i actually know all this because i'm at the site for a long time (2 years) and i saw those days coming up at the pinned frontpaged posts xd, but from what comes up on my head, the main holidays are

Ohh hello!! welcome! pixel day is mostly a tribute of the 8-bit/16-bit era, so everyone prepares some stuff for that date, like games, animations, arts and audios! and there is some prizes for the best submition, you can see they on the TomFulp's post on the frontpage
And also, there is more holidays here, like Pico Day, Robot Day, Madness Day, Clock Day, and the list goes on...
